pathetic stylus (first impressions)

From helping my son set up his Centro, the one impression that I can't shake is that the stylus is just horrible. This completely overwhelms how nice the screen is and how fast the the unit is (compared to my i500). I just can't imagine how they could justify this (other than I guess that since it doesn't support graffiti, why would you need a stylus that will last more than a month?).

At least -- I don't know how to enter graffiti on it. Where I expect to see 'graffiti help' under the menu it only says 'keyboard help'. Perhaps this is the norm for a Treo, although I thought the Treo had something like 'graffiti anywhere'. I've had a Samsung i500 for the last 3-4 years, so I wouldn't know.

I would guess that better-built 3rd party styluses (stylii?) will be available fairly soon given how crappy the OEM one is. First to market with these will sell gazillions of em.
