Are there plans to make a Centro forum under the Palm OS area? I expect to have one later this week, and I'd rather discuss it here. Otherwise, it's over to sprintusers.
I just upgraded from an i500 which I loved to a Palm Centro. My initial impressions: the i500 is still a better phone first, PDA second. However, now that I can actually send/receive SMS, browse the web at EVDO speeds, store files on a microSD slot and view a higher resolution screen all for $99 - I'll be happy for awhile.

Yeah, that is my assessment as well. Also I am worried that the Centro would get very beaten up if I treat it like I treat my i500, constantly putting it in my pocket with keys and other items, occasionally dropping it on the floor, etc. I think there is a good reason why, if you go to Walmart, etc and look at all the phones that "the masses" buy, they are 100% flipphones of various sorts. All my friends and relatives have flipphones and they all refuse to put cases on them and they all throw them around in pockets and purses with other stuff bouncing around, keys, pens, loose change, lipstick, etc. I am concerned that a Centro in that environment, nevermind that it really isn't thin enough to just "slip" in a pocket or purse, won't survive...
I accept that the Centro is Palm's current "best effort", but I still question whether it is good enough...
I have tried 2 different stereo headsets and can only get the right ear to play music, etc. Anyone else having this issue? I found no documentation indicating this is a Mono phone or Stereo.
