I have an IR port on my IBM ThinkPad running WinXP Pro. I know the two devices can communicate; I've successfully beamed a file from the laptop to the Centro. But I can't seem to get the two devices to communicate when I try to HotSync. I saw someone try to explain the process when I Googled the concept; however, that protocol didn't get it done.

I've created a network connection for IR devices.

I've set both the phone and the HotSync manager to commo via IR.

No joy.

Anyone got a foolproof method?
