Spontaneous Rebooting

I know I've seen discussions about this somewhere; but does anyone know what the deal is with Centros spontaneously rebooting? I swear I was looking at a text message, and as soon as I hit the reply button, the screen blanked and was replaced by the grinning Palm rising sun. And that was just the most recent time it happened; far from the only time. And that's on two different phones, as I took the first one back to my local VZW because I was fed up w/the spontaneous rebooting.

Any ideas, compadres?

Gracias,

KM

Just last night I was HotSyncing the phone. No sooner had the phone synced and Backup Buddy backed up the system than it rebooted, without any input from me. And Backup Buddy ran an automatic post-sync backup just fine on my old, lamented Kyo 7135. No, there's gotta be something stupid in the phone itself. I saw a lot of cyberink about Centros rebooting spontaneously before I bought one because I couldn't get a Treo from my local VZW store (none to be had in the entire system) and I needed a phone because I was going out of town. Now I'm just going out of my head.

i'm pretty sure this is an OEM feature with the centro. i thought i was immune from this when i first got it until one day i looked over and my phone was rebooting itself for no apparent reason. i dont hotsync often so i havent had issues there, but i have had it reset on me when using the IM program. id say it does it a couple times a week, if not more often. most of the time i wont even notice it.

I went to Palm.com and updated the ROM from 1.02 to 1.03 (Verizon) and after 24 hrs it appears to have helped.

That's not getting it done for me. Already running 1.03. But thanks for the contribution.

Had a problem running another app (Epocrates). I was forced to do hard reset right after installing 1.03. Since doing both, I've had no spontaneous resets.
