It's not on the QWEST website yet. It took a couple of days for the 6800 Mogul to get on the website, so I suspect that it will take a few days for the 5800 to get on the website.

It is on the HTC website. Here is the link:

HTC: Products: Products by Carrier

I just went to the mall and picked up the 5800.

It is really tiny and I think I am going to love this phone.

I can post pictures in a few hours after I done setting it up...

I don't know about the battery life yet, I have only had the phone for a few hours. I'll give a report tommorrow.

How do I check the Processor speed? The phones seems fast overall, though.

When I slide out the keyboard, it makes a sound (a chime) by default takes about a 1 secone for the screen to reorient itself.

Personally, I like the sound, but I am sure you could turn off the chime somewhere in the settings

It slides out really smooth and gives a satisfying click.

I am also sure this phone is exactly the same as the Telus HTC S720 (HTC 720).

Looks nice. Does it have WiFi support build in? And how is the BlueTooth? Can people hear you okay without the choppiness reported on the 6800 phones?

Thank you,

No Wifi. Bluetooth works fine and I haven't experienced any choppiness or problems using my Jabra BT 500 headset.

How's the volume? I am slightly deaf and have had trouble with the 6700 that I haven't had with "phone" phones, but I really think the form factor and features on this one look right.

Sound and Volume work well for me. I also had the 6700, but I never experienced any trouble with the volume or sound for what it's worth.

The form feature is definitely the best and can't be beat.

For the first time in many years, I actually feel like I have a real cell-phone, not some huge pda with a cell-phone built-in. And still, I have access to mail exchange server account, the internet, and other items that come with a pda.

michaelgarcia,

I'll be looking forward to how you feel about this phone after you've gotten a few weeks of use in on it. Thank you for responding to my questions so quickly!
