Motorola Q

Isn't it about time we start a new section for this phone? It will be out on May 24th. Scheduled to be "Coming Soon" on the VZW website May 8th.

I'm surprised there are no other smartphone sub-forums other than the i600 and MPx200/220

There are way more smartphones than just those models and this section has never expanded beyond those.

I used to frequent this site ALOT and have since made it a "browse-once-in-a-while" site.

But the funny thing is there are alot of people who post stuff here and not on other Smartphone sites. Especially developers with cool little apps they post here and there.

It would be alot easier to find these posts if there were more sections. I dont mind the admins not making a section for EACH smartphone ever manufactured...but software announcements, homescreen, Q&A sections would be nice as well.

I just started getting ads from Motorola on the Q, so the release must be coming up very soon. They don't have an announced date in the ads, but why would they run ads if they're not releasing the phone.

this might be a dumb question but how hard would it be to by a Q from VZW and set it to work on a different network?

It will be CDMA only at first which limits you to Sprint/Nextel and Verizon.

The ESN varies by carrier and VZW will not let a piece of Sprint hardware on their network and vice versa. In this corporate battle to the death, the customer is screwed.
