My Imate is 2 years old. And preloaded skype has been deleted. I have moved to UK where it can now be uses. I need to reload the old version of SKYPE software. (New software from SKYPE web does not load on phone) I need to know where I can download this.

The new version of Skype DOES load onto the phone - however you must update the active sync on your computer.

The microsoft site has the updated activesync - once you install this to your computer - you'll be able to load the new skype to the phone by running the setup.exe on the computer while active sync is running - then follow the installation and active sync will then install it on the phone automatically.

You need to trust me on this as i actually had the same problem tonight and found out it's all got to do with the active sync. Now I have the latest version of Skype (2.2) on my Imate Pda2k.
