Animations for Homescreens? -revisited-
Greetings all,
Am back again after a few months of my gf having my phone cuz hers was stolen. I am still on a quest for the answer to animated backgrounds. As i posted in an old thread, I did find and try the Mad Beetle plugin, and yeah it does work, but takes alot of messin around. Has anyone yet figured out a trick or file format to get animations to play on wallpaper WITHOUT having to use the MB plugin? (in other words, the fast lazy way) The reasons I'm still on this tangent are as follows: 1. The startup and splash screens on both the exterior and interior screens are animated, and WITHOUT having to install a plugin. This proves that off the shelf, the phone has the resident capability to display animations. 2. Animations can be viewed with the file viewer and they move. (There are a couple defaults that come preloaded on the phone, and also my own .gifs work).
SOMEWHERE..............SOMEHOW.......there has to be a way to manipulate the file format of the .gif (or whatever), a specific location, or a registry setting or SOMETHING that will make it work.
Has anyone found the answer yet? Or does anyone know beyond a doubt that it cannot be done, so I can let it rest? After all, they claim the feature as a selling point for the phone, I still have the original specs from them stating "supports animated wallpaper- [yes] ", mentioning NOTHING about third-party plugins.
Well Motorola? if it does, then tell me how..............
