So I now am the semi-proud owner of an mpx220. I am coming off a Samsung sph-i500 (which was AWESOME, but Sprint service was awful - although Cingular is proving to be even worse...).

I like the phone well enough, but I am having a problem:

1. phone rings, when closed.
2. open phone to a white, blank screen for 5 seconds or so
3. soft button labels come up
4. pause for another 5 seconds or so
5. caller ID info appears, slowly.
6. after about 12 seconds or so I am able to activate the "accept" softkey (which highlights), then the phone says "error answering the call" and laughs at me....

During all of this, it's like the phone is totally locked up - I can't answer with the talk key, can't silence the ringer, nuthin.

i am incredibly frustrated with this issue - can someone help a girl in distress?!?!?!?!?!?!

I've got the same problem, been looking all over to try and find an answer for this. It's been bugging the crap out of me because I can't almost ever answer any of my calls. I end up having to restart, even though it doesn't help. Any help would be greatly appriciated. By the way, this just started happening to me about a month ago. It seemed to get even worse when I got my 1gb miniSD. I've tried clearing all the things on the task viewer but it doesn't help.

Return your mpx220 for a waranty exchange if it is still within the 1 year of manufacturers waranty... I have returned two mpx220 within the 1 year and my third mpx220 works just fine...
