I am trying to free up space on my phone. One of the area that I assume there is alot of memory consumed would be all of the factory ring tones. One of the reasons I would like to free up space is for personalized ring tones, so I really dont need the factory tones but, it will not allow me to delete them. Is there a way around this.

Also is there a way to increase the ring volume even more. The ring tones I have downloaded seem to be a bit on the quiet side. Or is there a way to increase the volume of the downloads??

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think the factory ring tones take up that much space. They are quite small - the cingular ring tone is a 1.3k midi file.

I read somewhere on another site, that someone had some success in replacing the ring tones with somewhat louder mp3 files converted to .wav files. The process was to use MS Sound Recorder to conver the desired .mp3 file to a .wav file and in the process, increasing the volume ...

Try a google search as I did not bookmark the site ..

All but one of my personalized ringtones are on a miniSD storage card...with the exception of the main ringtone...
