Differences in MPX ROM versions

I have an MPX300 and have the problem experienced by many others with the device freezing up at random times while running the March 2005 ROM. Mine also will often take 7 or 8 tries to soft boot. I have read that reverting to the Feb 2005 ROM can solve this problem. Does anyone know what I would be loosing by going back to the Feb. 2005 ROM?

Basically, does anyone have a list of the changes from ROM to ROM?

The latest ROM is the March 2005 ROM. Some people say hybrid is the best way to go, but I use only the March '05 ROM, and mine runs perfectly on Cingular with no freeze issues (or at least only very rarely does it freeze).

I actually contacted Motorola North America (which sent me to someone in India, of course) about this phone, and after speaking with several people, I was told that this phone does not exist. I told him that it most certainly did, as I was using it to speak with him. From this, I would gather that the only way a new ROM update would be forthcoming is if a private developer or one of these many cellular forum goons compiled it theirselves. Who knows?

Good Luck!

I think, if the upgrade process runs ok then you must see 2 bars on the bottom screen shows how many percent of the process, not only blank orange screen. CMIIW
