Just sold my unlocked MPX, and now the buyer has contacted me saying the unit will not recognize his sim card.. I had cingular service with the unit, and so does the buyer. I've never had that problem, and I'm really not sure if the sim card is being inserted incorrectly... Any suggestions?? Thx for your help.

There are two frequency's that cingular uses. 850 and 1900. So the state where you sold the phone to might use only 850 and not the 1900. So the phone wouldn't work.

I finally got my phone to work but now it is not recognizing my sim card. The phone came unlocked so I know thats not the problem and I also know I am putting it in the right way. It just keeps saying insert sim card. Can someone help me out.

hi have you flashed it with my march rom? if you look in the emdkay instructions file youll see a section in asterisks starting 'depending on your phone...' following the instrucs there and itll work!
