2nd moto q now ... this one seems to have problems too!

Hi everyone:

Got my first Moto Q back in October, and it had lots of problems. Sent it back for a replacement, and the vendor had no more, so he refunded my $. Good enough.

Found another one and got it this past week. It seems to be working much better than the old one - no strange resets or mysterious turn off's.

I am having a problem, however, with the phone part. Every once in awhile, the phone portion of the device "freezes" - the service bars don't change regardless of where I am, and when I try to call my phone, it doesn't ring - it rings on the other end, then goes to voice mail. If I try to initiate a call, I get the Calling..... elipses, and that's as far as it goes. If that happens, I have to take the battery out and reset the device. Since having it for the past 5 days, it's done this three times already.

I checked to be sure it has the latest software update from Moto's web site, and it does.

Does anyone else's phone have this problem, and if so, is there a fix? Or am I going to have to send this one back and go for #3? FWIW, my ol' trusty Kyocera 7135 Smartphone never did anything like this - it was always dependable. I'm somewhat disappointed that these Motorola Q's are so unreliable ... or maybe it's my luck ... I dunno.

Thanks for the help!

-Michael

Post what version of software you have. Sometimes the Moto Updater lies. Current is like 61-69 or something like that.

I'd be surprised if you're running the most current, as the problem you're having sound like a software problem.
