I do almost all my websurfing on my Q now. No pesky corporate firewalls watching me that way
The built-in IE browser works pretty well. You can display in "one column" mode, "desktop" mode where you scroll from side to side, and a default mode that tries to compromise and best-fit to the screen. Between the 3 modes I can always find something that works. It won't run flash though. If you come across a built-in quicktime or windows media player you can usually look at the source and play the media directly in pocket WMP or TCPMP. The built in browser also doesn't need any proxies to scrunch pages.
There are other browsers, like opera, if you don't like IE. All work better than the Blackberry browser.
As for multimedia, between TCPMP and WMP I haven't found anything I can't play. There are sites out there that will even rip Youtube videos. The Q has completely repaced my iPod.
