Problem with activesync after tethering
Hello,
First question on the Q forum, be gentle.
My boss has a Q now and handed down his i730. He stopped in a verizon store to replace his wifes phone and they talked him into tethering. So yesterday I got to screw around with setting that up. After finding out from SBS that the sales guy he talked to never bothered to enable the feature we got it working as a tethered 'modem' on his laptop. Here is the hitch: now activesync to his tower doesn't work. Or more specifically when you try to connect the Q to his tower it shows up as a malfunctioning USB device. It still Activesyncs over the air with our Exchange server and it still works as a tethered modem with his laptop, it just isn't recognized by his tower.
And the other hitch is that things like this get under his skin, so even though the device still does what it is supposed to do (Activesync wirelessly and work as aircard) the fact that it doesn't connect to his tower is bugging him which leads to him bugging me.
Anybody experience anything like the first hitch?
Thanks in advance
