Superwaba on Smartphone?
Has anybody here ever run superwaba on their Q, or any other MS Smartphone for that matter? If so, where did you find the installation .cab?
For those of you who don't know, superwaba is a Virtual Machine that implements a subset of Java. There are a few interesting PDA apps that are written for the superwaba VM instead of just using a full J2ME VM (don't ask me why).
The superwaba website, when it works, lists the Motorola Q as a supported phone, but I can't find a download for it anywhere. None of the .cab files that I could find for Windows Mobile (PPC) worked--not that I expected them to. Handago sells a few applications that they claim work on the Q and also require superwaba, but they don't provide any links to working VMs, either. I'm not forking over any money until I'm sure.
I'd be happy enough with IBM's Websphere Java VM if it weren't for these specific apps that need superwaba.
Thanks,
