New Q user used to PPC software

I just got a Q coming from the PPC-6700 and I LOVE it so far. I have a few questions though on tweaking out my Q. What I'm having a problem with is what the corresponding software is for the Q. I realize they are different beasts, but maybe I am missing some software options.

Here's what I used to have on the 6700. Can someone please provide names/links to corresponding Q sofware? If the listed software already works on the Q as well, indicate so as well.

WizBar Advance (can you even tweak the layout of the Q like WA2?)
iLauncher (I think this is Facade, right? And can shortcuts be put on the desktop to launch apps w/o using the Start menu??)
WeatherPanel
Total Commander

There are probably more, but these are the key apps I used to make my 6700 convenient for me (when it wasn't freezing or freaking out on me).

Thanks,
Rick

Hello,

Same situation here. Just got the Q a few days ago. Good news that most of the software you listed is available.

WizBar Advance- Facade or Dash, if you go the the SBSH facade website, you will see links to various home screen themes and find a whole host of widgets and addons that simulate what WA did on the PPC

Facade does have a launch bar

Weatherpanel= fizzweather

Total commander has a smartphone version. Works almost the same.

I would suggest you get opera mobile 8.6, you can place it completely on the storage card. It makes the Q a very enjoyable internet device:

GUIDE: completely relocate best PPC Web browser Opera Mobile from main memory - Brighthand.com Smartphone and PDA Discussion Forums

Also, smartphonenotes will replace the outlook note sync function lacking on the Q.

Just some advice. Install EVERYTHING to the storage card. The Q needs to have a lot of free memory or it will lock up and slow down. There isn't the issue on the Q as with the PPC about storing and launching programs on the storage card.
