How long can you go on a charge

How long can you go on a charge and what usage and battery are you using.

I'd like to get an idea of which battery to get.

This is for my wife and generally she has light usage. 1/2-1 hr talk time per day. She'd like a min of 2 days per charge ideally 3 days. With her fusic she would charge twice a week. Didn't know if I could squeak by with 1640mah battery.

Also most of her talk time is over bluetooth headset.

I am a very heavy user of the device and so on the standard battery I need to charge sometime during the day and at night. If I need to go all day, I use the extended battery.

My wife is more like yours in her usage and uses mainly as a phone and has light usage of the calendar and tasks. She can go all day and night on the standard battery and two days and nights on the extended (maybe longer).

Rob.

I have the siedo extended battery that is the same size as the standard ... about 10% bigger ... anyway ... I can make it all day on a charge ... I check email every hour automatically (nothing urgent in my account ... LOL) ... update weather every hour ... I listen to the wm media player about 1-2 hours a day ... on the phone 1-2 hours a day ... plus ... I use HanDbase all day to track my service business ... I just barely make the day .. but I do make the day

Ok,

Stock battery.

Monday my wife leaves full charge, bluetooth on, no web browsing, 15 minutes of calls. Used BT headset only on her drive home. Later in the evening the phone is stone cold dead.

Monday my wife leaves full charge, bluetooth on, no web browsing, 15 minutes of calls. Used BT headset only on her drive home. Later in the evening the phone shows battery is still 100% full !!!

I used Power Manager to read battery not the little icon.

What did I do?

I read one itty bitty snippet somewhere on one of these forums that the GPS locator mode (THE DEAFULT) constantly reports it's location. I shut that off (switched to 911) mode (which only transmits on 911 call).

Also I have been mixing and matching chargers with out much thought. Computer USB Charging, and interchanging my Mogul mini USB wall charger (1000ma)and Motorola mini USB wall charger (850ma). All seemed to work fine with either phone. Although Q didn't like the Mogul Car Charger.

When the phone was dead Monday night I used the same charger we charged it with in the morning (Mogul charger) to wake it from the dead. I plugged it in and it just wasn't coming out of it's deep comma (at least not very quickly). I think if I waited longer it would have charged battery enough to power up. IT seemed just too slow. So I plugged in the Motorola mini USB charger and it immediately came to life and booted up.

The Q did say it was fully charged on several occasions with Mogul charger including Monday morning. So monday night I made sure to use the Motorola Charger mini USB wall charger.

I don't know which fixed it. But right now it's doing better than any phone I've ever had. After a day any phone is usually down a couple bars at least. Either that or the meter is busted and it's gonna die any minute.

I'll try to report back how the rest of the week goes.

One other thought is completely discharging battery Monday somehow "Conditioned" the battery. I've seen lots of posts on many phones to try that.
