I think your post should say it does not show up in the Q. I had a 2GB miniSD card that failed to work in my Q as well, others have found some to work there is a thread about a 4GB card that works Its tough to say why or which ones will or won't but I would take it back and get a new one.

If you do a google search you will find what you are looking for. On that note buying another miniSD from Vendor B so you can return the defective miniSD from Vendor A is unethical. This is the price for not buying in the US from a reseller you know. You could also contact SanDisk or the piece could be a fake SanDisk miniSD.

strange but here is the deal. It would now work in my PC cause it would not recognize it even by 3rd party formating or partitioning programs. The best part is that i have a Mac and all i did was insert the card and it formatted it to FAT32. So now the card is seen by the Mac and the PC! I can add and remove files to and from the card but still....the phone does not see the card....it is very very very strange......

I had the same issue with my ATP 2GB miniSD, it worked in my XV6700, Treo 700w with SD adapter, MAC, PC everything BUT my Moto Q. I tried it in a store demo Moto Q and nothing. I opted for a 1GB card and would like a 2GB card but I am not interested in wasting money.
