Details:
I recently got sprint to upgrade me to the treo 700wx from my 6700 due to reliability problems. Anyway, I have a window here where I could switch to the Q if I wanted to as I've only had the 700 for 2 days. I love the 700 except for one major glaring problem...I hate wired headsets and I LOVE voice dialing using my BT headset. It baffles me why palm/sprint left this feature off of a $650 phone.
So now I'm trying to weigh the advantage of BT VC on the Q vs the loss in features by going to a smartphone. Namely I'm concerned about the following with the Q:
1) finding a financial management program that works on smartphones
2) battery life
3) slingbox support
4) web browsing experience
5) keyboard usability (I hear the Q has an awkward layout.)
If I can alleviate these 4 problems, I'll be switching to the Q post-haste.
I think you will find the Q will be fine for all except the first concern, as I don't know of any financial management programs (Quicken/Money?) for Smartphone. Battery life is about the same for all of these PDAphones, and Slingbox is supported on the Q (but hopefully you have an EVDO connection and not 1X.)
Trust me, get rid of that brick. Good phone, but the size of the Q is worth everything. I have had the 6700, 700w, 700p, i830 and now the Q. Yes, as documented throughout all of these forums, the Q is a Phone first and a PDA second, but you will not be sorry. The BT functionality is beautiful. I never could get any of my BT Headsets to sound right (I've had about 10 different Headsets). On the Q they sound perfect. Make the jump now!
1. Can't help you
2. battery life is far superior
3. Slingbox display is far superior
4. Web browsing is better (faster, wider screen)
5. Kbd is no more awkward than the Treo.

I fully agree with everyone here. Get the Q, I don't believe you will regret it.
By "Financial Management" are you referring to the lack of mobile office or more like MS Money?
If it is the lack of mobile office then" Documents To Go" by DataViz will take care of that. You can view/edit/create office documents.
I, like you, have been through every conceivable device offered & by far I am the most satisfied with my Q
