4gb on Q, possible?

I've read that some have had success getting the newer 4gb cards to work on PPC devices by formatting them with FAT32 file system. I haven't found anything concrete, just rumors on other forums.

Anyone experiment with this. I'm tempted to buy one experimentally and try it out.

After reading a bit I found some interesting observations. Excuse me if these have been posted before, but a search did not yield any topics.

There are miniSD cards which are not HC which supposedly work. http://www.mobymemory.com/Q-memory-cards.asp

The difference is these are true SD version 1 cards. Some cards are really 2gb cards reformatted to 4gb which have corruption issues. From what I have read these at the link above are true 4gb version 1 cards, which should work.

Anyhow I'm going to take the plunge and buy one and see if it works. I'll post results.

No one interested? I ordered one for 55 bucks off ebay, I got the link from a couple of Q users who had successfully used these 4gb cards.

Any luck with the 4GB card? Moto says 1GB is the recommended but upto 2GB could be supported they just feel a 2GB card would slow the device down. Don't know about that but I purchased a SanDisk 1GB and really wanted a 2GB or 4GB but the brand and quality could be an issue.

Haven't gotten it yet, but I have high hopes based on the explanations I perused on why it works, and the couple of users who also ordered one and have successfully used it.
