When you press the Messaging button (the one on the lower left with the envelope on it) it should list your messaging accounts. One of them is MMS.

Send a message via MSN to jpmihalk

MMS is dependent on the carrier. You will need to contact Telus - they will have the settings.

but Telus won't use MMS, because with a Motorola Q, Telus prefer if the user use email with attachement

Then you are out of luck. According to the Telus info I saw, you have to subscribe to their MMS service to be able to use it and it doesn't show the Q listed as a compatible device. Sorry!

There are several folders under the above folder, and then several under those. What are you looking for?

Rob.

alright man listen you are really onto something....all that us non mms using services need is that registry file....i am a sprint user of the motorola Q and came by a close one...this site gives another phone access to the picture mail... i ran the .cab file on my phone and bingo it showed up as mms but when i tried to send a message it was uncapable of doing so...i believe this is because of the phones touch screen...so the registry is a great idea....this is that other site...http://ppcgeeks.com/real-picture-vid...start,120.html

Alright, need a bit of help.

Install this cab in the ZIP file:

http://www.ppcgeeks.com/files/PPCGeeksSprintMMS.zip

You now have MMS!!

But when I try to send a pic, it closes out. For a brief moment, you have Picuture Mail. I'm sure it's just a REG setting somewhere, and if it's simple enough to fix or compair with a Verizon Q, then we now have MMS!!!

All of the REG settings for this are at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ArcSoft MMS UA\

Only other thing I can think of is to copy the installed MMS files from the Verizon Q, as this is the install that we've been needing!!

Thanx, and good luck!!

I have received 2 PMs that the above file was installed on 2 other Q's and the MMS prog RAN, unlike on mine, but did not SEND. So this *MAY* work for some, but may/maynot send until I/someone gets the reg setting right!!

Picture Messaging to a Phone #?

Maybe I'm just being a dumb girl here, but I have a Moto Q through Sprint...is there any way I can send a picture to a phone number, rather than using email and sending it to an email address? I was disconnected by tech support (shocking...go sprint!), but the lady said I could send pictures to phone numbers...but I'm not believing her as I have NO clue how to do this. Can anyone help??

You send an e-mail to XXXXXXXXXX@pm.sprint.com where XXXXXXXXXX is the phone number of the Sprint person.

The above link is to install MMS on it, which is what U and everyone else wants, but it just doesn't work right now.

Well isn't it just convenient that in Sprint's handy-dandy little user guide on page 87 it says: "To send the photo, select Send...Your send options are Text Messages, Outlook E-mail, or another formatted email account.

Hmm, seems to me that they lied since pictures don't attach to text messages. Jags.

Seems to me that they need a call...not that they'll do anything about it, but I'll feel better (after the 3 hours on hold). Thanks!

It's not a lie if you have, say, a Verizon Q

I installed this on my Telus Q and the MMS option showed up, under new I was able to chose new pix message or new flix message.. when choosing either one it would flash to a compose message screen briefly then close instantly putting the message into the Drafts folder. Hope this helps in tracking down the issue..

when I install that cab, I can go into messaging, and select the MMS account, select new pix message, and compose a new message, however when I try to send, it says "Error: Cannot recognize one or more recipients or the address is not valid. Would you like to send the message anyway?"

So I select yes, then it says "Error: Cannot send to text message recipients from an e-mail account. Cancel the message, select the text message account, then try again."
