Signal Booster with Motorola Q?

Hello,

Having problems getting good signal with my Q in my office. If I put the Q next to my office window then I get 2 bars. Has anyone tried a cell phone signal booster? If so, which one?
Thanks for your help.

Those things do not work. Try dialing *228 to get an updated tower list.

How about an external antenna? I cannot find a port on the Q. I doubt there is one... Anyone know?

I always wondered what was under the plug in the lower corner on the back of the Q. Havent had the nerve to pry it off yet. My i730 has a antenna receptacle. Luckily I had a external antenna with 15 feet of cord and the adapter for my old Nokia 5655 would fit into it. It gives me up to two extra bars depending on where I am at. A quick google search will find some of those sites that sell antennas and power boosters.

There IS a port for an external booster for the Q... But I have yet to find the correct fitting. For anyone with a Q, right below the camera, to the right of the flash, there is somthing that looks like a sticker.. But it's actually a piece of rubber.. You can pry it off (dont worry, you wont break it) and there are two ports!

The external antenna port is the long rectangular one next to the flash. I sent an email to WEilson Antennas. They'll have them ready in 2-3 weeks.

I went to a location that sells external Antenna they called someone at Wilson and they said that the port on the back of the Q is not hooked up. Does anyone know if that is true? Has anyone had any success with the signal boosters.

Thanks
