You can already to this. In the Activesync Menu, click Schedule. Then click "send outgoing items immediately".

Isn't that only for ActiveSync sessions Noah? It doesn't seem to be the case when I am walking around with the Q and press 'Send'. I think it's meant to active a Send/Receive session from Outlook on the desktop.

Yeah... I only saw that in ActiveSync sessions. I haven't found that in the Outlook email. You can check mail regularly (every 15, 30 60 minutes etc), but you can't schedule that to happen only between 8am and 8pm, for example. Or only Mon-Fri. This was a nice feature in SnapperMail on the Palm.

How about making the device unlock function default to numbers since it only accepts numbers for an unlock code. This constant pressing the command button twice is driving me nuts every time my Q automatically locks.

That has already been mentioned here.

It is #1 in my list and is, IMO, the single the most annoying thing about the device:

Quote:
1.) Fix the unlock feature so it doesn't require so many extra steps. It should not require you to have to hit Alt, Alt to enter a number to unlock. It should realize when you have entered your unlock code and just process it rather than making you press unlock again. Right now, every time I touch my Q, I have to enter 8 keystrokes to unlock it. Our Exchange server settings force devices to be locked after 5 minutes.
As a side note, I have a neighbor that works for Verizon that I was explaining this to. He said he checked into it and this was already on the list of known issues at Verizon.

Sorry David. I should have known that it would be top of the list. I guess the best way to run this thread might be to edit the first post to include everyone else's ideas below, or would that get too confusing? Either way, there are some good recommendations here.

For that issue, the more people that Verizon can see that are complaining about it the better--IMO. The engineers that designed it to work that way should be forced to use it with 25 digit unlock paswords until it is fixed.

Profiling like the E815. You were able to set different sounds under each profile and not just volume and type of ring.

1. Wireless notes sync.
2. Built in mark/cut/paste/copy in applications and clipboard.
3. Emulator for control keys.

1. I would like to see spell check.
2. I would like a missed call indicator other than having to check the home screen.

Is the ability to cut and paste text from internet explorer too much to ask for? Say it ain't so.

how about a voice over data priority option. As it stands now anytime I am using ORB, listening to sirius, or sending/receiving e-mail, I cannot receive any calls. Talk about annoying.

Actually, you should be able to receive calls while using a data connection. It should suspend the data session, handle the call, and then resume the data session after the call ends. If this is not working, I would contact data technical support.

Rob.

I would like to see the old motorola interface for call history list. If you hit the send button, you should be able to delete calls, the total list, etc. from that one step. It shouldn't be a start menu-depedent application...
