Just heard from the developer of Sprite Backup. He says the current version for Smartphones will work, but it won't display well. They are working on an update for Q that they hope to have out in two weeks.

Also I am using:
Wordbook which is a great dictionay that is practically a cultural dictionary as well.

SlovoEd Spanish-English Dictionary is working great.

I got them both from www.smartphone.net which seemed to have a lot more apps for the Q then Handango.

What version of TCPMP do you have installed. I have tried to install numerous versions but get no audio?

Thumbs down gps disabled

Pharos bluetooth GPS will not work. Nor will TomTom Navigator.

Found out that Verizon has intentionally disabled some of the bluetooth functions, including SPP (serial port protocol). Pharos BT uses this protocol to communicate with the device.

I am told Verizon did this intentionally to gain a competitive advantage. They are planning to offer a navigation function of their own in the future and do not want competition. so rather than deliver the phone as designed to us and allowing us to make a choice, they have intentionally shut down some of the device's function.

Would love to knoiw if anyone discovers a fix for this.

I found a service called scanR. http://www.scanr.com

You can take a picture of a document, whiteboard, or business card, email it to them and they send it back as a pdf. Its FREE!!
You can put another persons email addy or fax number in your subject line and it will automatically send it to them.

I have been taking pics of expense reports and contracts and they are quite legible. Make sure you have your camera at its highest setting and make sure your email is set to mail the pic at the highest setting, (default is to send photos at lowest resolution).

This is one of the neatest things I have seen for a while. I lead a deprived life!

Man i'll be glad when Sprite becomes available for this thing, but i'm equally, maybe more, anxious to see something like MemMaid or SK Tools or Pocket Mechanic--i don't care what it's called--that can clean up the mess we're all making loading, unloading, using, and moving things around! Those apps made all the difference on my PDA's. I hope somebody sends up a flare when that happens, cause these little Q puppies are going to need it.

If you mean Sprite backup software, it is available now. I have been using it and it works well on the Q.
