Cool Lion Battery announces 2800mAh battery!

Lion Battery is pleased to announce the release of a new 2800mAh battery for the Audiovox/UTStarcom PPC6700. This new battery is now the most powerful battery available for the PPC6700.

Even more important is that this battery has a metal plate incorporated within it that, when mounted to the PPC6700 SmartPhone, helps increase signal strength to the SmartPhone. Unlike other batteries that lack this innovative feature, the stronger signal means that less power is consumed and longer battery life is achieved. Batteries without this metal plate, while less expensive, draw more power because of the necessity to compensate for the weaker signal and have a shorter usage time.

The new battery is the same physical size as our 2300mAh battery but has noticeably more capacity.

This battery is now in stock and shipping. If you have any questions, please let us know.

The new 2800mAh battery with a silver cover can be seen HERE.

The new 2800mAh battery with a black cover can be seen HERE.

Move on. Higher than 1500mAh just isn't happening.

Based on everything we can find out, I'd say give up and move on. There just isn't enough room.

Now we must try and get a 5800mAh battery for the PPC 6700!

Will it fit the - 6700 specific - metal cases for extended batts? If not all, which brands does it fit? I'm game for the batt, but would not consider buying one unless I could order a perfectly-fitting metal case from some other outfit at the same time. Nex

Thank you. Ordered.

Mistake on the site though. US Zip codes can be in two formats, xxxxx for instance, or the long version separated by a dash: xxxxx-xxxx

The site allows the user to put in the long code, but at the end of the process shows something like this: xxxxx-x, missing the last three chars. Nex

Does that metal plate really help reception? Anyone know for sure?

I know the PPC6700 does have some reception problems, especially when you hold it in landscape with your hand near the antenna. If this helps that would be awesome.

If you check detail at the battery space. you will find some connector near the bottom not for the power supply. It's the connector for the antenna. It will help the phone increase the receive power like other modern no antenna phone. That's why the oem battery have metal plate too.
