Since you haven't seen our battery let me tell you a very important thing, we are not using Lithium Polymer cells but Lithium Ion. And, just because you were not able to achieve the larger capacity, doesn't mean you should undermine ours. For example, we have never stated that your 2400mAh battery actually measures only 2200mAh. Whether or not it is true is irrelevant as it shows poor business practice. We are not out to criticize our competition. You have your strengths and weaknesses and we have ours. If Mugen Power wishes to comment on the above, we'll let them.

In the meantime, the important thing is that we have released a 2800mAh battery and we are pleased to announce it to the community. As far as we are concerned, competition bashing ends there.

Lion Battery
It is good to see you use Li-ion cells. Then our experience with Li-polymer in series will not apply to your 2800 battery. Absolute no intention to undermine your efforts.

Our holster and Alumimum case will NOT fit this 2800 mah batetry.

Can someone give a round about value in percents or minutes of operation of an increase in battery life this will have over Seidio's 2400 mah battery?

I've already got Seidio's and am wondering if this is worth the buy.

You'd be looking at about a 17% increase in usage.

I believe this is a difficulty question to answer. It will depened on a couple of factors. mah on the label is not the only deciding factor.

1) type of cells used
2) Battery pack quality

However, the most importan question-Does Seidio battery provide enough power between charges.

Does anyone have this battery that could comment on any improvement in reception/battery life?

Oh, never mind. The OEM battery has a metal plate so I would assume that the reception would be the same.

Yeah, I love your battery. Lasts long! Just wondering about how much of an increase the other would give me over this one. I get about 6.5 hours of continuous talk time (tested with Jabra BT800 headset) and like 8 hours of wifi and average usage says spb pocket plus.

Btw, the battery cover is really loose and going bad. How much would a replacement cost?

How long is your warranty?? I conatacted Seido and they said the warranty was only 90 days so I actually just bought the OEM extended battery as that has a 1 year warranty.

On the 1500mAH battery I got from them it had a 6 month warranty. I would assume the same.

Actually, I reposted and corrected that several days ago. Seidio's warranty on batteries is 6 months - no matter what the mAh of the battery.

Our warranty is 1-year. Our warranty policy can be found Here.

Actually, our warranty WAS 6-months until last November 30, 2005. As of December 1, 2005, all our Mugen Power products carry a 1-year warranty.

Hi Mark,

It's a pleasure to meet you (electronically, at least). I would like to apologize if any of our postings came out as hostile, as that was certainly not our intention. Also, as to why or who deleted your contribution, it had nothing to do with anyone on our side. Having said all that, I just wanted to say that I've followed your postings for quite some time and have always found them to be highly informative and educational. I also wanted to say that it is a pleasure to have free exchange of ideas and technology approaches.

As long as it isn't USPS, it will probably arrive in good condition and on time. I'm hungry already. So much for chit-chat...

No, the Li-ION battery pack not only affected by this two elements. It also affected by the battery electronic design - it affected the internal resistance and also affected by the cell voltage matching if the battery pack contains more than one cells.
