Me too; waiting for a good, normal size battery hopefully...

Just ordered mine, along with the holster. The battery life has really been bumming me out. It's not really a problem most of the time, between the AC Adapter, car charger, and multiple USB cables I almost always have a chance to charge er' up. However, I needed something like this for situations when I know I'll be unable to charge periodically (vacations, family events etc.). Can't wait to stress test her!

I got my battery today. The new lump on the back actually fits my hand rather well when using the phone, and it doesn't bother me. I usually use the BT earpiece anyway. As far as keeping a charge, it's really too early to say, but I can kind of tell already that it is draining much more slowly.
I'm still undecided as to what to do about a case. I think I'm going to get a holster from seidio to go with my new battery; for those occasions that I want to carry just the phone. For other occasions I'm seriously considering getting a leather PDA organizer of some kind that will have room for my bluetooth accessories like the earpiece and keyboard, cables, and charging adapters, but at a certain point, you may as well get a purse, ffs, and I can't be carrying around a purse. It's a shame, but women have cornered the market on purse carrying.

A short update...
So I have been using the battery I got from Seidio (2400mAh) for a few days now and I'm still happy with it.
The only thing I've noticed that I don't quite like is the cover. Sliding it in and out of the holster/case It has already worn off the silver of the corners of the cover. Not terribly bad, but visible, none-the-less.
Between that and the Mugen battery....I would still recommend the Seidio over the Mugen battery. 2400mAh vs. 2300mAh at a lower cost for 2400? That should be a given. Seeing the wear on the battery door cover from Seidio and having had the Mugen battery for two days, I'm concerned it'll be worse on the Mugen cover. It feels and seems much more cheaply made (not to mention the Mugen cover isn't close to the same silver, to my eye it's noticeably different).

Good update. I think I will buy some flat clearcoat at the hardware store and paint a protective layer on the new battery door cover before I run into problems. If the colors rubbed off the corners of my door, it would annoy me as well.

Nice comparison Drxenon. I will contact the factory about your observations and let you know the results.

I've been seeing the same thing - Re: Color rubbed off the battery door with the holster. It seems like the phone doesn't want to sit in the bottom of the holster tray because the prongs on the bottom don't allow for the thickness of the extended battery. I had a thought about using a dremel tool to cut out the corners of the prongs so the phone would sit properly in the holster. Then I thought maybe I'd just return it until they mold it properly for their own battery...
In any case, it works, it's just not optimal.
About the battery life... my phone has never lasted through a day without charging with the standard battery. I charged the phone up to 100% and didn't plug it in last night... I woke up to find that I had a good 50-60% charge left this morning. If you can get two full days of usage out of this battery, it's quite a find...

All in all, I am very impressed with Seidio. Quality, speed of delivery, and confidence that I could order again with with the same level of satisfaction.

Hi Geeky,
This is a completely normal scenario. Think of it as a "break-in" period for the battery. This will disappear after several charges. Subsequently, when you disconnect your device from any charging option, it will remain at 100% and decline normally with usage. Even when it shows that 10% drop initially, you still actually have a full 100%. Thanks very much for your vote of confidence in our products and support - it is much appreciated.

Puhlease - let me reiterate. We have had very few customers complain about the current holster and its fit with the extended battery. Most seem to be very happy with it. While development of a newer holster is on our drawing board, it is not at the top of the list. Any update to the 6700 holster will most probably have more enhancements than more integrated support for the extended battery. I can't even surmise a release date, because we have so many EXTREMELY exciting projects going for the 6700 that we are up to our necks in work. Not to be too obnoxious, but in a short time we will announce products that will knock your socks, knickers, pantyhose, stockings, footsie pajamas - completely off your collective feet. We live to innovate and love the positive user responses - as well as the negative - that we have received. We are in this business for the long haul and look at and evaluate all enhancement and developmental suggestions. All I can say right now is stay tuned.

Ideal!!!
HI there
I am a new 6700 owner and so far it's by far the best phone I've owned...Anyways, I was hoping to find a starter pack with extended battery, case, car and wall travel charger, screen covers and a couple extra styli...What are the odds of something like this being offered? (and how bout a 512 mb sd card)
But my question is, how long are we talking before the flat extended battery is offered?
