It looks like the specs have changed on their site. I think it did say 1550 earlies. I went and looked, and didn't notice it specifically, but I'm pretty sure it was 1550.
it was 1550 .... they changed it seems. 1300 isnt worth the money. i just hope their 2700 isnt bigger than the extended. do u guys think it will be bigger?

I was just looking at my HFK and noticed that the cradle is designed in a way that different (most likely only extended) batteries may not allow the phone to fit into the cradle.
Just a "FYI" in case the extended Mugen does end up being larger.
Freddie compared the size of the mugen battery to the OEMs.

BTW, my math was wrong on the extended. 1700 compared to 2400 is actually 41% increase...not 70%. That would be worth it if the battery is no larger. It really is a bummer if the slim is only 1300.
Originally posted by ciniminis The specs for the extended looks very good, but the standard version doesn't look like it's worth it, unless you desperately need just a little more juice to get by each day's usage.
VzW sells the official Samsung standard battery for $40.
The Mugen standard battery from the Lion Battery site sells for $60, that's 50% more expensive for only an (optimistically estimated) 40% power gain.
I am not trying to flame anyone. But...
This post has bothered me for days.
Mugen spent R&D $, they took all the risk, they sell no more phones or calling plans. the only thing they have to gain is the sale of the battery.
I think the price is amazing. I was expecting a price nearer to $100 for the extended battery.
Comparing this to the cost of power from Verizon seems absurd.

There is no need to be bothered. Choose Mugen just because they're the "little guy" (as opposed to big companies like VzW and Samsung) all you want with YOUR money. As a consumer, I make my purchase decision based on what the product is worth to me. If Mugen/Lion is interested in winning many people over as customers, they need to work harder on making their non-OEM batteries superior in value/performance than the OEM versions.
Having bought the i730 and using it on a VzW plan, I already pay $$$ for the phone and calling plan costs to Samsung and VzW, and expect to take advantage of whatever mass-manufacturing discounts these big companies may offer on their battery price. I am not personally interested in paying extra for some other company's R&D, etc. if their product is not worth the price they want. Since they updated the mAh on Mugen's standard i730 battery to 1300 (versus 1100 on the OEM battery), it's actually 50% more expensive for a mere 18% power gain. If you asked me their R&D didn't do such a hot job on this one - but hey, don't let me bother you. You can always vote with YOUR wallet.

Seriously those price are alittle too steep for none oem batteries.. I think for non oem battery with modest gain in mah, should cost no more than the original oem battery standard or extended..
Except in this case the non-OEM is much higher quality than the OEM product. I agree with you if it is a generic product. Mugen is NOT a generic product though. The product they deliver has consistently been of higher quality than the OEM product every time I have purchased from them.
