You might invest in a cheap powered RF transmitter for your vehicle to test how well this will work before sinking any real money into it. Or borrow one from a friend. On my Honda Pilot, the FM antenna is at the rear of the car around 8-10 feet from where I place my phone. Even on a perfectly clear channel, the RF signal isn't strong enough to play the music without static. So before you opt to go that route, make sure that you know how far your antenna is. If it's at the back of the car, test first before you invest.
