Replacement battery recomendations - I have searched!..
My 7135 has a good battery now but I would like a second and possibly third Battery (since this is my only phone).
I have searched 7135 posts for "battery" and nothing really pops up in the last year or so. I have checked FAQ and "newbi" sticky but didnt see anything there.
I have seeen batteries on ebay for as low as $5, but, they scare me (to good to be true rule).
Verizon has thier act togetehr on the 7135's now and there are plenty of them on ebay, so, I think were good to go for a while.
Can everyone that bought a new battery in the last year share thier insight? Would like to know things like
1) Where they bought it
2) When they bought it
3) How it is holding up
4) Any inside info (about batteries) they have heard AFTER they bought thiers, lol.
5) Anything else you would like to add
Would much appreciate it, thanks.

I have bought several batteries on eBay (all OEM, no aftermarket), and the results vary, some work at or near full capacity (1200 mAh) while some are severely degraded (600-800 mAh). Considering the price they go for, it doesn't hurt to buy a few extra and only use the good ones.

if you buy a cheap phone on ebay or from here, they may include a battery (make sure you specify)
kyocera may still have some, but those are $60
if you happen to have a recalled model (google search cpsc 7135 battery) which i think is the -05 battery, kyocera may replace it
try dan's cell phones on ebay too, he may have clues as to where to get it (he was a big help to us 7135ers initially)
good luck!
if all else fails, I have a couple that we could discuss selling...

Try Tangshop.com
I purchased a battery for $32 from Duracelldirect.com, which is also known as battery-biz.com, and it functioned for 6 months before it seriously degraded. I contacted the company for a replacement, which they provided, but it arrived with an altered case design that could not fit the slot on the phone! The locator tabs on the bottom of the case were in slightly different positions and this rendered the battery non-functional.
Now I found Tangshop.com and for $20 delivered I got a battery that fits and works ( wow!) and seems to be well made, well labeled, not so third world, as were the two batteries from Duracelldirect.com. Granted, all these products are made in Asia, but this latest one had all the warning emblems and marks that I would expect to find.
Delivery was also swift and fairly priced.
I will let everyone know what this battery does for me down the line.
In the mean time, Duracelldirect.com does not want to take back their 2nd defective product for a credit. If they can't deliver a good battery, why should they get paid for either battery? I want them to return my payments for both batteries. Is this too much to ask?

Shameful attitude towards existing owners

Not anymore! They suck... can't even suggest where to find a battery, even though the phone still has some worldwide distribution...
Shameful!

Hey Sikpupy.
If you are still looking for a battery or two, I have 10 or so good Kyocera brand ones (all after recall), some recall ones and aftermarket. Got them when I bought 30 phones from ebay for parts.
I'd be willing to sell some, let me know.

Original Wireless (which I have used before) apparently still has OEM Kyocera batteries for the 7135. They are priced at $30, but other posts have recommended staying with OEM which is probably a good idea.

The Tangshop battery has worked well for 8 months and shows little breakdown in capacity.
However, I have made the move to iPhone 3G and am interested in selling my complete 7135 kit, which includes the car phone kit, a separate car charger for another vehicle, the desk cradle, a swivel case, all the original packaging and one owner-user. The phone is the latest firmware and build purchased after Verizon had restocked the phones after the battery issues that suspended sales. The phone has E911 location capability and is in excellent used condition.
Any offers?
