Was wondering that myself... Get this when you hit the page.

If it makes you feel any better, they are not alone. PocketPCPassion, another vBulletin based site, went tilt a few days ago. It ran for several days with the forums all hosed up... all the new posts were with a year of 2000, which caused replies to bump the original post for head of the thread... Now its down completely. Must be a bad week for vBulletin PDA sites! I hope it doesn't come here.
Lets hope all that traffic comes here! This is the first Kyocera board I came to. I was visiting the "other" one since it seemed to have more traffic on the Kyocera forum.
Lets all cross our fingers that this forum stays up!
It is odd that too big vBulletin sites are down hard... A hosting problem will probably be easier to fix though, so that's good to know. For those of you that are hanging out here, welcome! We are glad that you are checking us out.
There is a drop-down menu at the top of the page - pdaPhone Info - that will lead you to a 7135 page with an FAQ. You can add to this if you have any great 7135 tips.
Also, we are about to launch a PDA version of the site in a week or so. It is in testing now.
Maybe, but I would be surprised since most data centers have a UPS system to keep the servers running. The interesting thing is that they have a page up, so the server isn't dead... or they've moved the domain somewhere else.
The recent virus attack could also be the cause... I have been getting hit hard with some kind of virus during the last week... fortunately it looks like Norton is containing it for now.
An UPS usually lasts about 15-30 minutes just to allow the system to shut down gracefully. What they need is a back up generator to keep operational. But if there is no power to anything, yor server may not have a path to the internet.
Originally posted by Robert K. Hopefully SPS will be back up soon. The problems aren't vBulletin related. It's a problem with their host.
In the meantime I guess I'll be hanging out here
Well, well...I'm looking for a place to hang out too. Fancy meeting you guys here. Hopefully SPS will get it's act together soon. I'm feeling mighty lonely. It seems if I want a smartphone forum that I can count on to be available whenever and whereever, I'm going to have to start my own...hmmmmm...
