My 7135 came with a cradle and a travel charger that plugs into that cradle. I left the charger part at a hotel and need to replace it. I keep finding "7135 travel chargers", but they all give a red flashing light when attached to the cradle. Can someone provide me a link or a part number for the correct charger?
I don't understand why this has to be so difficult. The one from Best Buy seemed to work on the phone, but the cradle rejected it. I ordered one on-line and the cradle rejects it too (red light).
My "travel charger" had the same problem (before I broke it - cheap plastic). Somewhere I remember reading that those cradles are really picky and need an OEM charger. I ended up just giving up on the cradle all together. I use the USB cable to charge the phone and sync to the computer. I only used my travel charger for, well, traveling without a computer.
If you would like to get rid of the one you ordered online, I am still looking for a replacement for the one that got munched - just PM me.
I think mbirgen is correct when he says the Kyocera cradle needs a Kyocera charger or it will reject it. That requirement has been documented in other threads. While other brands of inexpensive chargers (not all) will sometimes work properly with the 7135, they almost never work with the Kyocera cradle. Fortunately, there seem to plenty of Kyocera chargers available at very reasonable cost (I have three - all in daily use). The problem with most non-Kyocera chargers seems to be that the output voltage is too far off spec. The cradle can have both the 7135 and a battery in it, which requires more current that some charger are designed to supply. The result is that the charger output voltage is too low and the cradle rejects it. In some cases, the output voltage can be out of spec even with no 7135 or a battery in the charger.

Yeah. thing is, I'm buying Kyocera chargers and they still aren't working, because I don't know what part # to get, and the web sites are all inconsistent. Example:
The Kyocera Travel Charger on the wirelessgalalaxy.com site (http://www.wirelessgalaxy.com/ac/kyocera_7135_ac.html) is not an OEM part, it's made by Visno. It also states "for your Kyocera Koi KX2 phone" right there in the description. It will definitely not work with the 7135.

You must not be looking in the same place. There is one that says "OEM travel charger" or something along those lines. It says Kyocera right on it, but generates 5.2 volts instead of 4.5.
Thanks for the link though, I'll make sure I get the right part number next time.
