Can I Back-up the data for travel in the 7135?

One of the things I liked best about my Visor was the ability to back-up data to the module with one touch. As I travel a lot, I am worried that I will be on the road and have to do a hard reset and loose data and programs. What is the best way to back-up Calendar, Address and Memo info? I don't travel with a laptop. I asked Kyocera how to back-up the phone and they said you can't. When I tried to use the file transfer program to an SD Card 99% of the items won't transfer. Its quite simple really. On the software CD that came with your 7135, there is a listing of links to various 3rd party software that you can have or try for free. One of those links is to BackupBuddyVFS. Simply install the application on your 7135, launch the application, hit "backup" and your entire device is backedup to your SD card. If your 7135 ever hard resets, you can restore it all right from the card (be sure to let the software install itself on the SD card when it asks you to). And best of all, the software is free (a paid version is also available that offers more bells and whistles). You can download either version here:

Finally, remember that if you ever have to restore the device from the card, you must do a soft reset after it is done restoring otherwise you may have another hard reset on your hands.

Backup

I have to ditto this re: backup. I have been using BackupBuddy for ages on my regular PDA and can absolutely attest to it's efficiency. As one who experiments quite a bit w/ programs (some of which cause serious crashes), BB restores me to pristine condition in moments. It's an absolute MUST even if you don't do a lot of d/l'ing. Well worth the few bucks it costs
