1st and only phone, for 2 1/2 years now (since May 2003) on Verizon... 13217 calls, 28334 minutes. I'll stay with it till it dies or they peel it from my cold dead hands...

I've had mine for, I think, a year and a half.
Verizon - works great, one hard reset, but.....
I just ordered a Motorola MPx 220 from Cingular. I'm just tired of walking around with this big phone - I know it's smaller than every other PDA phone, but it's still too big. I have to use the belt clip, so it sticks out, and jackets and long shirts just don't fit right. Looks like I'm carrying a .38.
As long as Cingular works good (NYC), I'll probably keep the MPx 220. I'll give it a year, and then my 7135 goes on sale.
I'm using my 3rd 7135 (started with them in May of 2003) as a backup phone for my Treo 650. The 650 is a far better phone (and I got over my flip phone predjudices with the help of Bluetooth headsets) except for:
Reception - K7135 is way better in marginal locations and of course supports analog.
Still here for now, 7135 on VW almost 2 years old and no major problems (knock on wood) Love the clamshell and tri-mode and mp3. Would love a new clamshell, trimode, Palm device but who knows when/if that will ever happen
I'm on number 7!! I Don't OverClock as much as I used too. I do eventually learn. I don't know what I'll do when this one finally dies. They are not exchanging them and, like everyone else, have not seen a suitable replacement, you know, something that can run Bebopper would be nice. Clam shell too. It still amazes me. I still find things about this phone that I didn't know before even after 2 1/2 yrs. First one arrived on my B-day April 14 2003. Nice B-day gift to myself, even if unstable.
Still on my first 7135 (after 2 1/4 years). Works just like the day I bought it. It's pretty beat up, it's hit the pavement a good number of times. Still have the original battery as well. When the phone was new I bought a spare back up battery but soon lost it. Haven't replaced it yet but I do think the original battery is not lasting quite as well as when it was newer.
Had mine for almost a year, spotty results but I would prefer my sort of junky 7135 to a 650 any day of the week.
BTW, the only Torx heads I can find at Home Depot are in a kit and they don't use the numerical designation, i.e., #7, #6, but instead tiny fractions of an inch. What is the equivalent to a #6, please? I need to get in and clean the charging contacts, hoping that will fix my major problem.
Otherwise, it's off to the little shoemaker-I-mean-7135 repairman on eBay.

I just got a set from Home Depot, Husky brand, it's an 8-in-1 set labelled precision screwdriver set, it's got size 4-10 & 15. I found it in the screwdriver section.
Torx is always designated by #, I've never seen them done by inches. HTH
I'm now ready to try a brain transplant-taking the radio board out of my tired 7135 (21341 minutes), and putting it in the newer body. I like the 650, but I'm going to try and stick with the 7135 as long as I can.
Good quality individual Torx screw drivers are available at Sears. I bought a #6 for $2.00 just to have in case I needed it to open my 7135. Cheap Torx bit sets frequently do not have a #6 (they skip from #5 to #7) and when they do, it usually doesn't fit the screw heads properly. There is a significant risk of ruining the screw head trying to use these bits.
