ringer question

I'm having a problem creating ringtones. I cut down the mp3 into a 15 second clip and test it in itunes and it works perfect. I convert it using the ringtone maker and put in on my phone and perform a soft reset. When I go to play it, it only plays the 1st two seconds then goes blank. Any idea what's going on?

I just posted instructions on the easiest and only way I've found to do it.

Did you change the file size from 50Kb to 0Kb in the ringtone maker? Unless you kow exactly how long the mp3 is, 0Kb seems to work really well.

thaxman is correct (as usual). Take a look at the size of your ringtone in the File Manager and if it's 50 KB (the default in Ringer Maker) then it'll only play for a couple of seconds. Assuming 128 kbit/s bitrate I've found 500 KB to be a good size for a ringtone (plays for about 30 s - after that the phone will stop ringing anyways).
