new mobile gmail on 7135?

I haven't yet tried any pop3 email applications on my 7135 yet, as I don't usually like mail clients that much and prefer to stick with webmail (always fighting with leaving copies on the server and what happens when you read them, etc.). So my first question is just how easy is it to use pop3 (like snappermail) with gmail and still keep everything in sync with the web and not downloading huge amounts of messages to your phone.

Secondly, what I would really like to use is the new mobile mail interface to gmail that was introduced last week. This is the one at URL "http://m.gmail.com" that is supposed to work with most mobile phones. Unfortunately, I have tried all 3 browsers on my 7135 (EIS, the kyocera browser, and webpro 1.1) and none of them seem to work.

Have any of you guys had any success with using the mobile gmail feature on your 7135?

FG

wierd - Using Webpro 1.01 you can log in to Gmail through the regular html interface (just choose the option without active x at the next page) but http://m.gmail.com gives a 406 Not Acceptable error, "Unable to display this content."

Eudora Web gives a "Scripting Not Supported" Error: "This page is empty, probably because it relies on scripts, which EudoraWeb does not support."

wow... you're right... the regular page works now (it didn't work a few months back... it wasn't properly redirecting to the html version).

But, I would still prefer the mobile gmail version to work since it would probably format the pages and messages better than the standard pages.

Anyway... hopefully they will get it working soon.

Cool Mobile Gmail URL that works in EudoraWeb

I found that visiting http://mail.google.com/mail/x/ to access Gmail now works from EudoraWeb. It remembers you between sessions even.
Cool
