I printed this out on my Canon PiXMA ip3000, and covered the top with plain old scotch tape to protect it, then added double-sided scotch tape to the botton and very carefully stuck it onto the graffiti area. The good part about this is that it's completly removable without damaging the phone! It also has stayed on no problem for quite some time now.
I'm trying it now. In my old Atomik layout, holding down the stylus would cause the letter to shift to upper case. That doesn't seem to work in this layout. How do I turn that feature on?
Ok, tried that and I agree your way is better! The only issue I've got now is that the button you've assigned to launch the phone application doesn't do that for me. I've got Hard Button Extender installed. The Millikeys phone button launches HBX, giving you a choice of the four apps mapped to the Phone Silkscreen. I guess that's not really a problem, maybe more of an advantage actually.
Also I've had problems with Big Clock in the past. Alarms seemed to go off when they weren't supposed to be active. I've installed it again. Maybe I'll have better luck this time.
Also I'm finding Millikeys and the PKWrite DA to be a powerful combination. Text entry was never easier! Its great to see my old dog 7135 still learning some new tricks!
Well I finally got it going on mine... But alas I had to uninstall Jot. I couldn't just disable it I had to delete it, bummer. I really got used to seeing my grafitti strokes on the screen. Does anybody know if Grafitti anywhere will play well with Millikeys?
Now I'm going to redefine the bottom row to start the apps that I want....
Bob calculator for the Calc- a nice freeware RPN calculator
Analoge Uhr- just a simple (and freeware as well) analog clock.
woo hoo... I haven't played with a new app (ok its an old one) on my 7135 in a while.

Really? I've been running Millikeys for years and NEVER deactivated it before a Hotsync. But I use Backup Buddy, not your ordinary Hotsync. Maybe that makes a difference.
I've never used Jot, but I do use Newpen sometimes. Is that similar to Jot? With Newpen you can draw your graffitti stroke right on the screen. You'll see the stroke on the screen and it will register into whatever application you're using.
Newpen coexists comfortably with Millikeys and PKWrite DA.

I'll give it a try. (HotSync is syncing my PC dates/appointments/books, etc. Nothing to do with backup.)
Backup Buddy runs everytime I use Hotsync. First it does an ordinary Hotsync and then it compares everything on the 7135 to what's already backed up in the computer. I'm thinking that maybe Millikeys prefs aren't restored in a regular Hotsync the way they are during a Backup Buddy hotsync.
By the way, I found the PSD above to be a little small. I enlarged it until I could just slip the edges between the glass and the metal casing. The larger size makes it more readable and it stays in place without any glue.

me too. I used the most recent version of Irfanview to print it out with the exact dimensions of the grafitti area: 4.7cm x 2.0cm

I downloaded the software for MilliKeys, but I like Avatar-X keyboard better than the default built into the MilliKey program. How do I use the avstamp.txt file so that Millikey is set up for the Avatar-X stamp?
As I recall it goes something like this: Paste the layout text into a memo in the Palm desktop or Outlook and sync it to your phone. That puts the layout in your memo app. Then from in the Millikeys app choose import from the menu.

Thanks, that sounds easy. I printed out the avstamp last night, and I plan to use your (MGuzzy) technique of slightly oversizing the stamp to fit under the edges of the metal cover. However, I was wondering about the longevity of the stamp when it is printed on regular paper stock. I suspect that it will deteriorate rapidly with use. Are there any recommendations regarding protection of the stamp itself?
As I said, I simply cover mine with scotch tape. I've had it in there for 8 months and it still looks great. My old one was in there about a year and worked just fine.
I use unprotected plain paper and find the stamps last for many months. They don't wear out from use so much as from occasionally having to remove them after a hard reset for stylus recalibration.
