Don't know if this has been discussed before:
If I highlight a phone number (something in a memo or note), then COPY the number and immediately hit the phone icon, it dials that number.

Yeah, this is a known feature. If you highlight and press the green phone button it should dial. Also if you highlight a URL (web address) and hit the green phone button I think it will open up the default web browser and go to that page!
