Please forgive the silly question but I used to work tech support... Is there a bell icon with a cross through it on the top LCD display? (this would mean that the phone was forced into silent mode by holding down the extenal down volume button)

If so, press and hold the up volume button until the icon clears to place back into non silent mode.

If this isn't the case, sorry.....

My guess would be a broken speaker or loose contact. Search the board, this topic has been brought up before.

Does the speaker phone work? If not, the speaker is the problem. If the speaker phone works I have no idea....
