i have the 7135 and i cant figure out how to get it to connect with the desktop with the txdtc10003 cradle i dont know if i need to download software or something?
Have you installed the Palm Desktop software, including the Hotsync software? Is there a Hotsync icon in your system tray? Are you getting an error message when you try to hotsync? Are you using the serial connection or USB?
If the answer to either of the first two questions is no, there's a place to start fixing the problem. If you get an error message, post it here and someone should be able to help you.
Cheers...

i dont think i have the palm desktop or hotsync for my computer do u know where i can download these and which version i need? i have both the usb and the serial pluged into the computer when i hot connect to hotsync now it says connecting with the desktop using the cradle/cable then a message comes up saying the connection between your handheld computer and the desktop could not be established please check your set up and try again
i downloaded the palm desktop with hot sync and i dunno what to do now on the hot sync screen on the phone if i click log it says never synchronized? i dont know if that means something or if i need to syncronize or i dont even know how to syncronize
Okay, I am assuming you have a Windows machine. You need to have Palm Desktop running on the computer. Then you need to look in the lower right corner for the Hotsync icon (circle with two arrows). Click on that and make sure that Locan Serial is checked (even if you only have the USB plugged in). You should be able to open up hotsync on your 7135 and tap the big hotsync icon in the center of the screen (even in the cradle this works better). This should connect with your computer. It will probably prompt you for a user name, etc.

Check the other recent threads about connecting to the internet using USCell... very informative.
If you want to play MP3's, yes you need a memory card. I recommend you checkout Bebopper from www.belltools.com . Your card from your camera probably works fine. Does it have MP3s on it already, and are they stored in the correct folder for the mp3 player to find them? they should be in the \Audio
folder.

According to the 7135 User Guide, you should not plug both the USB and serial cables into the PC at the same time. Plug one or the other, but not both. It doesn't say what happens if you do plug both, but I would assume that it is probably not good. The 7135 Reference Guide does not mention this prohibition, but does specify that one or the other be plugged. It does not say that plugging both is OK.
