Syncing 7135-Lotus Notes questions...

Hello All,

I did a search, but didn't find much about this topic. Hoping someone can offer advice/answers.

I just started a new job and want to sync my work laptop LotuesNotes 6.x calendar and personal contacts with those on my 7135. I have been HotSyncing w/ my personal laptop up to now. How do I go about doing this?

I have IBM's SyncPro (?) loaded on the Work laptop and Kyocera's/Palm's HotSync loaded on the Home laptop. Do I load HotSync software first to the Work machine? In what "order" of load software-Sync-etc should I proceed?

Any help is really appreciated. Thanks to All, in advance!

It has been a long time since I set this up on my machine. If I remember right I loaded the Kyocera Hotsync/Desktop first and then loaded Easy Sync Pro.

Before you get too far along, you might wish to consider some other alternatives.

I have been using mNotes for several years and have been very pleased with it. With mNotes I am able to replicate with my Lotes Notes mail, calender, todos, and journal both via Telus 1x and via hotsync.

Other alternatives (I cut and pasted this from a Lotus Notes Newsgroup) include:

"- Pylon software (I read some find it complicated to set up, OTOH it
exists for quite a while, uncertain whether it is up to date with the
latest PalmOS versions for a Tungsten T5)

- Commontimes MNotes: looks mature, announces an ambitious feature set

- intellisynch seems the most well known but I found very little details
on Notes interface

- easysync: same as above?

- Companionlink features recent updates, and twoversions of which the costlier not surprisingly has more functions

- XTNDConcert, that seems to disable the Palm's provided Hotsync (which
I wouldn't appreciate)"

Hope that this helps.
