KWPST issues

this blows..... i have the kyocera wireless programming service toolkit... but my laptop has NO com ports.... i have one LTP, and an IR port that acts as a com port...

unfortunately KWPST does not support LPT or USB ports... and it will not use the IR port either......

does anyone have a suggestion as to how i can manupulate this problem to make it work.. my best choice would be to make the LTP port work as a COM port... anyone got any ideas?

I tested it and works fine using a USB to Serial adapter... you can find a cheap one on ebay or buy.com maybe... well, I could read the data from the phone but could not upgrade de ROMs because I have not found those files yet...

Send a message via AIM to MGuzzy

That's what lmute was saying... they make a device that will provide a serial port that will plugs into a USB port. Alternativly I've also seen serial ports add on PCMCIA cards.
