Mine does that occasionally, mostly when I'm out of my home state. I thought it had to do with roaming or out of normal area or extended network or something like that. Don't know for sure though. Hopefully someone else can shed more technical light on this for us.

I'm pretty sure that is the roaming indicator and I've only seen it when I was traveling out of my local service area.

Triangle

This occurs on mine also. My phone number is a North Dakota area code and I live in South Dakota. The triangle appears whenever I am not on the home area code towers.

At least on Verizon, the flashing triangle is the "Extended Network" indicator. It means you are on another carriers network, but are using your home minutes. If the triangle is solid, you are roaming, and will be billed accordingly.

Mine blinks red when there's no service. I've never had it blink yellow for roaming, is it supposed to?
