Aussie 7135 users - help needed, (small) reward available!
Hey everyone,
I'm a Canadian currently studying in AU for at least the next year. I based my decision to buy both the 6035 and now the 7135 on the reviews and posts from this forum. Thank you everyone!
Now, my problem: my Bell Canada 7135 isn't working in Australia (go figure). I've searched off-and-on for about 2 weeks now for the programming settings to get the phone working in AU on Telstra. Telstra has been no help (but very nice about it).
As far as I know, just about all settings need to be changed - frequencies are slightly different here, different PRLs and SID, IMSI settings, etc, etc, etc.
If an Aussie with a 7135 could post/pm/email me with a dump of their settings (ideally with KWPST, I'd hate for you to have to type it all in by hand) I'd be in your debt forever.
Reward wise, I'm a student working in an IT shop near Melbourne. I have access to some decent prices for hardware. I'll gladly take you out for a pint, give you some sort of weird Canadian object you and your friends can laugh at for days... etc.
In the meantime, I'm trying to get a VOIP account going with my Uni internet access but it looks like they don't route any outgoing traffic except HTTP traffic, which is forwarded through a proxy. Worst. Network. Ever. Anyone ever hear of video conferencing or VOIP software that can do HTTP tunneling?
Cheers everyone,
Jeff
