Snapper Mail /DSL Extreme.com help

I have been using Snappermail (1.9.3) happily and successfully for a while now, but now I need to change my email server.

I have my email thru Onebox.com, and now I want to change to my provider (dslextreme.com).

I've tried to set up the POP3 account:
mail.dslextreme.com
port 110

and
SMTP server:
smtp.dslextreme.com
port 25,

But can't get it to work.

DSL Extreme hasn't been any help. (Just tell me to set up per instructions on their website, which I did).

I asked Snappermail a while back, but they had no answers either.

Anyone using Dslextreme and Snappermail?

Please help

Thanks,
Dave

SnapperMail support had no answers?? I find that hard to believe, especially since I work part time on their support team.

First, please update to the latest version that is available to you on your customer login page -

http://www.snappermail.com/download/login

(I also recommend upgrading to the 2.x version.)

Then, generate a diagnostic log by following the instructions at the following page -

Its much better to use the vzw smtp server. Forget using smtp.dslextrme.com. Its really slow even on their own dsl line.

Are you unable to check your mail as well?

I recommend signing up for a "Member Account" on the FastMail (http://www.fastmail.fm) service. It is a one-time-only fee of $14.95, and you can use their SMTP server. I use it for all of my SMTP needs from every computer and device that I have, from anywhere that has an Internet connection. Doing so means no worries about what server to use when I'm traveling.
